$80,000 Worth Of Virtual Currency Raised in a Crowdfund for Ugandan Orphanage

According to a recent report, $45,000 in virtual currencies has been raised for a Ugandan orphanage by Free Talk Live (FTL) alongside its listeners and a group of businesses. A sum of $35,000 has also been raised in cryptocurrencies in order to buy land for the orphanage within the country.

Free Talk Live Radio Raises $80K in Crypto

Free Talk Live Radio show revealed that it has alongside the Shire Free Church, Cell411, and Bitcoin.com raised a sum of $80K in Cryptocurrencies for the purchase of land in Uganda and build an orphanage.

The crowdfunding initiative was led by The Foundation of Hope, Uganda and one of the ministers in the foundation, Ndifuna Johnson. The purchase of land and construction of the orphanage will help the small village to self-sustain and will also help people living in the region to concentrate on things like growing of crops and raising livestock.

The radio show also announced that its listeners took part in the donation of funds via its digital currency tip jar which accepts BTC, DASH, BCH, and the ability to donate with other coins using Shapeshift.

Co-host of the FTL radio show which airs from 7 -10 p.m seven nights in a week on almost 200 radio stations believes the initiative proofs the true power of digital currency crowdfunding and that assisting the Ugandan village will help them discover better opportunities.
