Bitfury has Partnered with Russian University of Economics to Create Accelerator
Bitfury a popular and global blockchain company has partnered with the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics with the goal of creating an accelerator for a blockchain projects recent report states.

According to a recent report from a local news portal, apart from providing an ecosystem whereby aspiring blockchain entrepreneurs can build their dreams, the university will also be offering courses and additional education dedicated to “training specialists who are able to create innovative projects using digital technologies in a short time.” As a result of this, students of the course will be able to bring their various project into the market right on time.
The Russian Government is Involved
Dmitry Ufaev, the head of Bitfury Russia, has also made it known that the collaboration with the university will be backed by the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media.
The ministry has also responded to this news through one of its key spokespeople. The spokesperson stated that: “the pilot program meets the aspirations of both public institutions and large corporations that need to be modernized.”
This report is coming right after the University of Tokyo received a donation of about $800,000 from several blockchains focused donors, like the Ethereum Foundation and Japanese banking giant Sumitomo Mitsui — donated. The university is expected to run blockchain related courses in it engineering faculty. The purpose of this is to equip potential blockchain engineers with the tools required to build the future of blockchain.
Recently, IBM partnered with the Columbia University(CU), to pilot two programs dedicated to providing mentorship to 10 blockchain projects each. Through the partnership, CU will also be offering blockchain related courses.
It was also reported that the University of Gibraltar has Established an advisory group that will focus on the development of blockchain-related educational courses. The group dubbed “the New Technologies In Education group” is said to be the result of a collaboration between the Island government, the university, and several leading blockchain technology-focused firms based in the country.
