Chinese School Teacher Caught Mining Ethereum on School Property.
Based on a recent report, it was made known that some teachers at a school in China have been caught mining Ethereum on the school property. It was also reported that the school’s principal and vice principal were in on it.

The report made it known that the mining activities has been on for quite a while, lasting several months.
The report also made it known that there have been several complaints of unpleasant noise coming from the mining area. Fellow teachers of school also made it known that the mining activities slowed down the school’s network.
As a result of this, the school teacher decided to take action into their hands and get to the bottom of the discomfort.
The report made it known that the Principal and Vice Principal, who were accomplices in the mining activity, started the operation outside the school, but eventually decided to shift their base of operation to the school, so they can pile the cost of electricity on the school.
The mining rigs were initially installed in the school dormitory, but once profit started coming in, extra mining rigs were bought and the whole unit was then moved into the school proper.
Principal Lei Hua lost his job as a result of this while the Vice Principal Wang Zhipeng was warned against repeating such again.
The report made it known that the mining operation has incurred over 14,000 yuan(around $2,000) in extra electricity bills for the school.
Not the first time
Across the world, there has been a previous report of public servants getting caught mining cryptocurrency at the expense of the governments. So Zhipeng and Hua are not the first people to get caught doing such Zhipeng and Hua.
A previous report made it known that an employee of the U.S Federal Reserve was caught mining Bitcoin, on government servers between 2012 and 2014, on government servers.
