According to the report, the leading Stock Exchange operator has announced that it has formed a partnership with a blockchain data and research firm based in New Zealand- Brave New Coin in order to get information on the two new services which are expected to commence on the 25th of February.

According to the press release, Nasqad revealed that both the Ethereum Liquid Index (ELX) and the Bitcoin Liquid Index (BLX) will provide a lot of information on the company’s combined data feed- Nasqad Global Index Data ServiceSM (GIDS). They are also to provide a ‘real-time spot or reference rate’ at the rate of 1 bitcoin (BTC) and 1 ethereum (ETH) respectively, based on the most liquid ends of their markets and quoted in USD. The data will be updated every 30 seconds.

Furthermore, Nasqad has made it known that both indices are estimated using a method which has been independently audited against the principles of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).

While explaining this, the exchange operator said:
“The BLX is one of the most widely-referenced BTC indices among crypto traders and has been calculated back to 2010. Likewise, the ELX has been calculated back to 2014.”

Activities in the Industry

Moreover, the exchange has been very active in the Crypto and blockchain industry which includes being investors in startups in the industry. Just last month, the exchange led a 20 million dollars Series-B funding round for Symbiont, an enterprise blockchain startup.

Also, in November of last year, the firm formed a partnership with VanEck, an investment management firm in order to present a regulated Crypto 2.0 futures-type contract to the market in 2019. However, no further details have been revealed since then.
