TradeStation to Launch a Crypto Focused Brokerage Service

TradeStation Group, Inc. the company in charge of the popular charting application— TradeStation, has recently made it known that it has plans to venture into the crypto space.

TradeStation is banking on its new subsidiary—TradeStation Crypto, Inc, to help with making the company’s dream of being part of the crypto industry a reality. According to a recent press release, TradeStation Crypto is looking to launch an “online brokerage service focused on cryptocurrency traders and investors.”

The platform will be banking on its parent company’s securities and futures brokerage industry expertise to create solutions to some of the problems currently being faced by the crypto industry as a whole.

John Bartleman, President of TradeStation Group, Inc has also issued a statement regarding this recent development.

John stated that: “We believe investors and traders are seeking ways to access and trade cryptocurrency products similar to the way they trade traditional capital markets – and through a trusted and familiar brand and company, ” “Our focus will be to provide the tools and services that serious traders require to trade across multiple asset classes, including crypto. TradeStation Crypto’s product offering should be a major leap forward in our ability to offer customers access to the next generation of assets for active trading under the TradeStation brand.” He continued.

Not a Crypto Newbie

This is not TradeStation Inc’s first attempt at taking part in the crypto market. The company has made some contribution to the industry in the past by being one the first online broker to add support for real-time market data for Bitcoin indices sourced by Cboe Global Markets and CME Group, and later to offer support for market data and order execution when CME and Cboe Futures launched their respective Bitcoin futures contracts. The broker also provided real-time market data for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin.
